Life in One Cubic Foot

Exhibit Title "Life in One Cubic Foot" set in a green cube and surrounded by a collage of different marine species of animals
“Life in One Cubic Foot”, Special Exhibit, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC.

How much life actually exists within one cubic foot of nature? This was the question that scientists from the Smithsonian and academic institutions attempted to answer and document in conjunction with the exceptional images of photographer David Littschwager. Originating as a National Geographic article and then a book, the Smithsonian exhibit strove to highlight some of the findings of Smithsonian scientists working in different ocean environments across the globe. As exhibition developer and project manager, I worked with the exhibition team to help shepherd the exhibition from concept to final product.
